Apex™ Cadillac Reformer

This is my second Paeta reformer. I also bought a Grava for my lake house. There I have less space so the folding part was great. I liked it well enough to buy the Apex. The Apex is a high features, high quality reformer. It is also an excellent value. It is heavy and solid. The wood is solid but glued together solid wood. That’s ok, less expensive and less attractive but just as strong. The extras included such as the bench converter, sitting box, kick board are great. Also the springs for the carriage is separate from the springs for the tower. That’s real nice for quick change in movements. Very smooth in movements. It did take 6 hours for me to assemble the whole thing. Nice that most of the bolts and screws use the same size bit. I would highly recommend getting one of those ratcheting screwdrivers. The parts are very well organized on three cardboard pads well labeled. Overall very happy with this. Highly recommend it.

I absolutely love my Cadillac Reformer! It's sturdy, versatile, and I enjoy working on it. The price is lower than the competitors. I was worried the quality would suffer due to low price. However, I have used this machine several times a week flawlessly. It is withstanding hours of work.

When it arrived, one small piece was broken, but I reached out to the company and they responded right away. They sent me the replacement part quickly and made the whole process stress-free. Amazing customer service on top of an incredible product. I couldn't be happier with my purchase!

I recd this Cadillac reformer several days ago. It came packaged very well. All parts and pieces were well protected, the pieces were very well packed and no damage done in transit, despite arriving in three huge and equally heavy boxes.

I'm not mechanically inclined - I have to study pictures, read labels, sort parts, compare parts to drawings and look a construct drawings longer than most for details to sink in. That being said I almost have the reformer put together by myself without husband help. It took me 2 or more hours to unpack everything and arrange it in piles. Then at least another 2 hours to run thru the part list checking off items as they were located. I started assembly on a Thursday night, working a few hours, Friday night few hours, Saturday an hour, Sunday four hours. I have the first step of the top rack completed - entire reformer assembled so far using only the wrench and Allen wrenches supplied. An electric drill was suggested to use but I wouldn't be confident using it. I've assembled other heavy duty items - squat rack, GHD machine, using the supplied Allen wrenches and single wrench from those kits, so I decided to stick with what I know. I'm certain I'll wrap up assembly tmrw with another 2-4 hours of work. Mind you I'm not working hard during this time, I'm studying instructions, texting, talking on the phone too. I'll update this review as I go along.

But to talk about the packaging, labeling of parts, quality of the parts and the alignment of premade holes, having all nuts, bolts, washers, poles, rings, carabiners, etc - I'm very impressed. No parts or pieces were left out, everything aligns superb, and every piece appears heavy as it should be and of high quality. I'll upload the photos that I have at this time. I look forward to editing the review once I've utilized the machine for a month, so stay tuned if you want the full picture.

Update 7/16/25 - I completed work on assembly as expected and have worked out daily on the Cadillac. It's an enjoyable safe experience and a great machine at such a cost savings.

I'll share a couple of assembly issues I discovered after I thought assembly was done. But first, if you run into any problems when assembling, then chances are excellent you've got a part flip-flopped. The two top long poles both needed a direction change. Which wasn't hard to manage. I discovered this because one screw did not have a matching hole. The more challenging issue was I secured one of the white steel support sleeves for the verticle poles upside down. In the 9th photo look at the two visable legs, at the 12 inch long white parts in which the stainless steel poles are inserted. The right one is flip-flopped, and had to be removed and turned. Doing that while keeping the Cadillac assembled was possible with two people, one lifting and holding up the frame on the affected side. But def not for a wimp. Also I forgot to mention a socket wrench will be needed to tighten the hand grips on the carriage. That is the only part that needed a tool the Cadillac did not come with.

I have run into one functional issue with the wooden pulley support bars. One snapped in half while I was using one leg in the loop and working with the highest tension spring. I've uploaded a photo. To be fair, I also had the pulley close to the top of the bar. I really feel this is likely user error. Next time I will slide the pulley to the lowest level. The company responded quickly thru email and I am waiting on replacement part. I emailed July 5, they responded July 6th that it would take two weeks. I'll update this review when part is rec'd. Overall I'm still very pleased with this machine.

I recently purchased this Cadillac Pilates reformer for personal use at home, and I couldn't be happier with my decision! It arrived incredibly fast, and the packaging was beautifully done, ensuring everything was well-protected.

Setting it up was surprisingly easy, and the wood quality is outstanding - solid, smooth, and premium. The structure itself is extremely firm and stable, giving me complete confidence while using it. It truly feels like a professional grade reformer, and for home use, it's more than enough to meet my needs. My 9 year old daughter loves it too.

Overall, this has been a great experience, and I would highly recommend this product to anyone looking for a high-quality Pilates reformer!

This five stars for the customer service of the seller and the pilates material. This Pilates reformer is a great purchase - I truly love it. The machine is solid and works very well once fully set up. However, there are a few things future buyers should know.

My unit arrived with one leg damaged, which made the installation more complicated. I had to hire a handyman to straighten the part so it could fit correctly. The seller did provide a partial refund for the damage, which I appreciate.

I also strongly recommend that the seller add complete dimensions to the product listing. You actually need a 95" ceiling height to install the reformer exactly as the instructions state. If your ceiling is lower, the legs and rods must be placed inside the bars first before stabilizing them to the reformer - this was not clearly explained and would be much easier with accurate height, length, and width measurements for all parts.

Overall, I'm happy with the purchase and the machine works great, but the listing definitely needs clearer details and full measurements to help customers avoid installation issues if it is installed at homes or appartements. I would say it is made for large areas.
